LSU defeats Butler in Old Spice Classic

Lake Buena Vista, Florida - LSU was only one point behind at the half, but they managed to fight back in a second, which led to their victory over with 70-68 in overtime. This earned their third place in the Old Spice Classic this Sunday.

The Bulldogs were behind the Tigers in field goals, which made the winners’ 29-of-64 compared to the Butler’s 22-of-65. However, the Bulldogs managed to make 75% of their 20 free throws, and LSU got 7 out of 12. Moreover, Butler made 9 out of 23 3-pointers, compared to the Tigers’s 5 out of 14.

LSU was led by Johnny O'Bryant III 17 points and 8 rebounds. The star athlete managed to make the last 3 points during overtime.

The Tigers took the third place out of 8 in the OSC after they managed to defeat Saint Joseph in the starting round and to lose to Memphis in the second one. In the last round, they beat Butler.

LSU will get some time off before their game with Louisiana-Monroe on the 14th of December, Saturday.
