Of the 12 games in the Old Spice Classic, 10 were decided by 10 or fewer points…There were two one-point games and two two-point games, and one overtime contest…No team ever led by more than 17 points at any time during the tournament (Kansas State over Rider on Nov. 25).
Michael Beasley (KSU) twice matched the Old Spice Classic single-game scoring record with 30 points against UCF and George Mason, and Devan Downey (USC) put up 30 points against Penn State…In the championship game, Casiem Drummond of Villanova established a tournament record with 17 rebounds.
A total of 19,801 fans attended the 12 games for an average of 1,650 per game…The attendance of 3,457 for the Villanova-Central Florida game on Thursday was a tournament record and also the largest crowd ever for any event at the Milk House, which opened in 1997.
